Before the Program DiSC® Behavioral Assessment (30 min) Learning Sessions Session 1: Intentional Communication (4 hours) Communication is the foundation skillset from which all other interpersonal skills build. In this session, we will use the DiSC® framework to explore how your personality impacts your communication preferences. We'll investigate the priorities, stressors, and motivators that map to various DiSC® styles, giving you insight into how to better communicate and connect with others. Topics: ■ The Goal of Communication ■ Tailoring and Targeting Your Message ■ Exploring Your DiSC® Report ■ The Four Basic DiSC® Styles ■ Personalizing Your Report Key Takeaway: At the end of this session you will be able to identify priorities, stressors, and motivators that map to various DiSC® styles, enabling you to communicate more effectively with others. Prework for session 2 Session 2: Your Leadership Footprint (3 hours) What is your unique footprint as a leader? In this interactive session we begin with the character strengths and qualities that differentiate you from others, and we use these as a springboard for discovering ways to bring your singular skills to life. After translating your strengths into con- crete behaviors, we connect and align these be- haviors with your governing values. The session culminates in an activity that integrates what you have learned from others with what sets you apart from everyone else. In creating a personal leadership coat of arms, you'll gain insight into how to "do who you are" as a leader in a way that inspires and motivates others. Topics: ■ Leadership SWOT analysis ■ Identifying core values ■ Connecting values to behaviors ■ Completing the sculpture — uncovering your unique brand Key Takeaway: At the end of this session, you will be able to bet- ter articulate your value proposition as a leader. Prework for session 3 Session 3: Building Trust and Connection (3 hours) Being a valued team member involves more than just growing your skills and knowledge. Building strong relationships is also a key part of team success. In this session, we'll explore how to earn — and extend — "smart" trust to contribute to a team culture of psychological safety. You'll also learn how increasing your emotional intelligence will enhance your credibility as well as your team's performance. Topics: ■ Psychological safety and performance ■ Verbal and non-verbal active listening ■ Cultivating a coaching mindset ■ Asking powerful questions Key Takeaway: At the end of this session, you will be able to optimize team performance by building strong relationships that contribute to a team culture of psychological safety.
