9 Thinking Positive about Risk Management This workshop focuses on the key elements of risk management, why proactive risk management is critical for project success, and how to implement a positive approach to identifying and managing risks. The main focus of the workshop is to provide project leaders with the skills and ability to encourage project team members to view risk management as a positive and important part of project planning. MDI1427 l 1 Day Construction Fundamentals This course is designed to meet the needs of pro- fessionals responsible for working or interfacing in a construction environment. This course provides fundamental tools and techniques that are applicable to most construction projects. The course will utilize a series of construction conditions as examples for dis - cussion and construction knowledge enrichment. This course uses example and discussion-based methodol- ogy that provides an environment to get an overview of construction approaches, tools, and techniques; a team approach that fosters group interaction and an exchange of ideas and experience and direct, instruc- tor-led feedback with participation by all participant teams.
