Lean Certification — Bronze Level
CEG's Bronze Level Lean Certifi-
cation Program consists of two
days of training and a 30-question
Bronze Level Certification Exam.
The instructor-led course, Lean
Essentials — Finding and Eliminating
Waste and Defects, is intended
to provide participants with
a clear, simple, and applicable
understanding of how Lean
concepts and toolsets can
standardize and simplify product
and service delivery. Participants
will gain the ability to determine
eight common forms of process
waste and to identify process
performance, improvement,
and control as well as increase
their confidence to reduce or
eliminate waste through simple
improvements.
Participants will be able to:
• Explain Lean principles.
• Identify eight common sources
of waste in an organization.
• Identify a value stream and
define opportunities for
improvements.
• Build basic skills in continuous
improvement and related tools.
• Identify and calculate flow rates
and bottlenecks.
• Practice the implementation
of "error-proofing."
*The Bronze Level Certification
Exam is administered within 5
business days of completion of the
program. The exam consists of 30
questions and is open-book. A
passing score is 70%.
