Yellow Belt training provides individuals with an awareness of the tools needed to participate as a Lean and Six Sigma project team member. Individuals are encour- aged to bring a live project they are working on to the training. Throughout the training, in teams of three to four, participants will have the opportunity to apply concepts and techniques to real projects they are currently working on. This training will allow employees to be valuable assets to drive the organization's goals and objectives in the future. Participants will be able to: • Relate Lean Six Sigma concepts to the overall business mission and objectives. • Understand and apply the Lean and DMAIC models as a framework to drive process improvement activities. • Develop process improvement techniques used within the DMAIC model to improve the capability of a process. • Communicate using Lean Six Sigma concepts to staff and management. • Define both bottom-line and "soft" cost savings from improvements. * The Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certifi- cation Exam is administered within 5 busi- ness days of completion of the program. The exam consists of 35 questions and is open-book. A passing score is 70%.
