Lean Certification — Silver Level
CEG's Silver Level Lean Certifi-
cation Program consists of four
days of training and a 50-question
Silver Level Certification Exam,
and requires the selection and
implementation of a Continuous
Improvement (CI) Lean Project.
The intensive four-day course
gives participants a practical,
hands-on, learning-by-doing
experience applying Lean
methodologies in a simulated
environment. This course is
taught and facilitated by Lean
practitioners, leaders, and
coaches, each with multiple
years of successfully applying
Lean in business organizations.
Participants will be able to:
• Explain Lean principles.
• Define waste in an organization
and opportunities to eliminate
waste.
• Identify a value stream and
define improvements.
• Build basic skills in continuous
improvement and related tools.
• Review process flow and identi-
fy flow rates and bottlenecks.
• Practice the implementation
of mistake-proofing.
• Define kaizen events.
• Develop your personal toolkit
to implement Lean in an
organization.
*The Silver Level Certification Exam
is administered within 5 business
days of completion of the program.
The exam consists of 50 questions
and is open-book. A passing score
is 70%.
